Hi there... As far as I know they have Purchase Protection for their customers. It covers all eligible purchases where PayPal is used. Also, the payments that comes in and out from their website. Usually, a dispute be filed within 180 days of your purchase or payment.

Aug 11, 11:01PM EDT0

Hello Adam. I have not been into their Customer Support team but I know they have a good foundation of Customer Support. They are all trained to help in any PayPal situation and questions.

Aug 12, 8:13AM EDT0

Good, cos that's important in case there is a problem

Aug 12, 10:40AM EDT0

How long have you been using Paypal now?

Aug 11, 10:06PM EDT0

Approximately, almost 4 years now. I really do not want to brag and pursuade people to use it since I used to work from there, but it's just that I want to share my nice expereience with them.

Aug 12, 8:14AM EDT0

Always good to hear positive experiences!

When was Paypal first created and by whom?

Aug 11, 7:11PM EDT0

Hi. PayPal used to be owned by eBay from 2002 to 2014 and became an independent company after that. History said Confinity and X.com, that will eventually merge to become PayPal. They have built their products apart from each other and even launched them separately. The first PayPal product is released by Confinity in later 1999.

What's the craziest thing you've ever bought with Paypal?

Aug 11, 5:44PM EDT0

Hello Amanda. I guess buying designer shoes online usig PayPal was the craziest thing. When I first got my salary I went nuts and spend :)

Aug 12, 8:17AM EDT0

Ahaha, shoes are my weakness, love them too much. How many pairs do you have?

Aug 12, 1:02PM EDT0

What happens if my child accidentally purchases something on eBay or somewhere where my Paypal is linked?

Aug 11, 4:05PM EDT0

Hello. You can always file for a dspute and usually eBay and other sites has this 30 days grace period for you to return. Perhaps you can return the product to get the refund.

Aug 12, 8:21AM EDT0

Thanks, sounds good

Aug 12, 10:34AM EDT0

What's the largest payment you can make or take in one go through Paypal?

Aug 11, 3:31PM EDT0

Hello. Technically, you can send up to $10,000 in a single transaction. (This amount can vary, though, depending on your currency.). For unverified accounts, they set limits on the total amount of money you can send from your account.

Aug 12, 8:22AM EDT0

How high are the charges for sending money or is it free?

Aug 12, 10:24AM EDT0

I've heard of a newer system that's similar to Paypal called Stripe, have you heard of it & what's your opinion?

Aug 11, 2:32PM EDT0

Hello. Working with PayPal, we had protocols followed and policies we follow. Strictly follow, and just like any other companies, you are actually not allowed to use rival products or stuff from rival companies. I heard about it but never tried to see how it works.

Aug 12, 8:25AM EDT0

Does that mean if I have paypal and stripe I can't make payments from one account to another? That would suck!

Aug 12, 11:39AM EDT0

Can I use Bitcoins and cryptocurrency with Paypal?

Aug 11, 2:08PM EDT0

Hello James. Yes, a new development arise regarding PayPal and Bitcoins. PayPal has partnered with Coinbase, a virtual currency wallet and exchange, so Coinbase users can sell bitcoin and cash out to their PayPal accounts. Also, it would accept Bitcoin via integration with Braintree.

Aug 12, 8:27AM EDT0

Does that work any different than normal transactions?

Aug 12, 10:32AM EDT0

Why is Paypal better than using an online service like WorldPay or Visa?

Aug 11, 11:13AM EDT0

Hello Julie. PayPal is more likey full of features you may enjoy.

You know your Credit Card information is safe and you can shop without worrying about a hacker downloading your account data from your online merchant. Very flexible to use, you can even send money here and there, across the globe. And most of all it is FREE.

Aug 12, 8:34AM EDT0

When I tried to send money to my husband's account I had a window come up that asked if I wanted to take the charge or if he would pay for it, so its not exactly free is it? I think they covered a percentage.

Aug 12, 10:29AM EDT0

As a small business owner, can I use Paypal as my main way of accepting payments?

Aug 11, 10:58AM EDT0

Hello. Yes of course you may. There are ne specifics in using PayPal. PayPal can be really helpful for small businesses like yours.

Aug 12, 8:35AM EDT0

Do you need to open a business account or can you use the normal account?

Aug 12, 11:01AM EDT0

Do you think companies like Paypal will eventually take over from the banks?

Aug 11, 9:31AM EDT0

Hello Brandon. Banks are of ay big diferent to PayPal. Banks are most likely physical and with PayPal, they are more online based. And banks offer different methods and processes too, so I kindo don't think so.

Aug 12, 1:51PM EDT0

Do you work with Paypal professionally or just use their services in a professional manner?

Aug 11, 8:27AM EDT0

Hello. I work for them professionaly for 3 years and a half. I was an employee back then :)

Aug 12, 8:38AM EDT0

What position do or did you have there?

Aug 12, 11:06AM EDT0

Why use Paypal to take payments physically - What kind of fees are involved and are they worth it?

Aug 11, 8:22AM EDT0

Hello. PayPal does not take physical payments, they are more of online based platform. Fees are pretty low and affordable. Can justify the means of how good their services are.

Aug 12, 8:39AM EDT0

Are the fees better than bank fees?

Aug 12, 11:48AM EDT0

Do I have to pay taxes on my Paypal balance & how is this worked out?

Aug 11, 8:19AM EDT0

Hi there. Paypal is required by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to provide information to the IRS about certain customers who receive payments for the sale of goods or services through PayPal. PayPal is required to report gross payments received for sellers who receive over $20,000 in gross payment volume AND over 200 separate payments in a calendar year.

Aug 12, 8:41AM EDT0

Interesting thanks!

Aug 12, 11:38AM EDT0

Don't Paypal charge a commission on almost every transaction?

Aug 11, 7:53AM EDT0

Hello Barbara. They have fees but I am not sure what you meant by commission? Can you please elaborate so I can help? Thanks!

I've heard Paypal now have a chip & pin reader available to use for in-person transactions; do you have any experience with this?

Aug 11, 7:51AM EDT0

Hello Brittany. You mean Chip Card Reader. What I know is, they accept chip cards, contactless/NFC-enabled mobile phone payments, and traditional magnetic stripe credit or debit cards.

Aug 12, 8:45AM EDT0

I tried to make a payment via paypal from outside the US when I was on holiday and it didn't let me but when I was back in my country it worked perfectly. Do you know why? I heard other people had the same problem.
